AMERICAN ACADEMY OF EQUINE ART
WORKSHOPS

CURRENTLY WAITING FOR
1998-1999 SCHEDULE

In 1992, the American Academy of Equine Art realized its original goal of becoming a teaching organization. Currently offering a series of spring and fall workshops in their school at the Kentucky Horse Park, the Academy will also begin winter workshops at the Appleton Museum of Art in 1997-98. AAEA workshops are open to anyone interested in equine art. Instruction, presented in the form of five- day and weekend classes, is offered in painting, drawing, sculpture, watercolor and pastel. This school fills a void that is not addressed by existing art schools in the country today. Contemporary and aspiring artists will have the opportunity to study with nationally renowned masters in the field of equine art. The excellent facilities of the Horse Park enable students to observe and work firsthand from live models representing a great variety of breeds... a valuable resource in the study of equine art and anatomy.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Class sizes are limited - make application early!

AAEA workshops offer equal opportunity education and do not discriminate on the basis of race, national or ethnic origin.

Students are enrolled on a "first application received" basis. A waiting list is established if a workshop is filled.

Full tuition payment must be made at the time of registration to guarantee placement in a workshop. Students will receive written confirmation of enrollment within 30 days of receipt of a registration form and tuition payment.

Class time is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a one hour break for lunch. A cafeteria-style restaurant is located nearby on the Horse Park grounds.

The Academy reserves the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or circumstances beyond the Academy's control. The Academy is not responsible for expenses incurred for cancelled travel arrangements.

A $40 fee for each workshop will be charged to transfer from one workshop to another. Tranfers must be arranged no less than 30 days prior to the beginning of a class and are subject to availability.

A $75 cancellation fee for each workshop is non-refundable. The balance of all funds will be returned if cancellation occurs no less than 30 days prior to the beginning of a class. No refund of any kind will be made for no-shows or for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the beginning of a class.
